Research Scientist, Assembly & Test Technology Development
Ravi is working as a Research Scientist with Intel since 2013. He works in the area of image processing, computer vision, and deep learning for vision inspection applications related to semiconductor assembly and test operations. Prior to joining Intel, he received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Maryland College Park, in 2013, and a B.Tech. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras in 2008. His first author paper at the 2011 ACM Multimedia Conference won a Best Student Paper Award. His co-authored paper received a ‘Top 10% Paper Award’ at the International Conference on Image Processing (ICIP) in 2014. He has 2 patents issued by the USPTO in the field of video forensics and biometrics.
